Two, too good news. First, Nokia had released the Qt powered Nokia Store (Ovi Store) sometime back. People who have already tried Qt apps would know how good they are. Nokia needed this from a very long time.

Finally, folks at Nokia Beta labs have given us the beta version of Nokia Store which is fully written in Qt. Log below.

  • Improved user experience and usability
  • Improved client start-up time, and improved page-loading times and general UI performance
  • Permanently visible navigation elements, and support for the new Belle UI style
  • Next-generation payment checkout flow

Let’s hear what the developers have to say about this.

In other news, one of the worst apps evar made by Nokia, the Social app is going to get some Qt love very soon. Folks from i-symbian have got hold of what appears to be the widgets of Social app running on Symbian Belle.

I hope this just turns to true. Social network integration is one place where Symbian was always pathetic at, criticized often.

Watch this video and spot this widget.

Good things are happening! With Nokia World 2011 just around the corner, these little updates just makes it more interesting for Nokia fans and followers also makes Symbian OS desirable, yet again!
