Two days of my life well spent, Nokia World 2011, London. We all were eagerly waiting for the keynote to kickoff in style, we weren’t left disappointed. The CEO introduced to us, the Nokia Lumia 800. Proud moment, loud applause, full of energy, flashes, attention. Sea-Ray as what we all knew. Codename you see. Later the mango device was demoed by Kevin Shields. Energetic. Mad. Fun. Blanca Juti took us around the world explaining the need of phone for masses – connecting billions to internet. Asha, which means hope. Asha range of devices were announced there hoping it would connect the masses in every possible way that they want! Great set of features, low pricing with almost no compromise on trust and reliability!

Finally, Elop made jaws of many drop there by taking us to Salo factory, virtually and showing us the shipping status of Lumia 800. As he connected there, devices were being tested, packed and dispatched. BINGO! They’ve got their rhythm set right.

This Nokia World event was and is the most colorful and energetic Nokia event that I have ever witnessed online/offline. There was much of positive vibration all around. All folks at Nokia have had real good fun. All I can say is they have enjoyed their work thoroughly. Which is why they did it just right!

People have hated CEO Stephen Elop. But without caring much about things, he went on and convinced the firm to shift focus towards Windows Phone. He has been closely involved with Lumia’s birth. It is visible. To take a firm decision this way is not an easy step. Emotional challenge. Tougher consequences to be faced. Yada Yada. But, hey! – They have their first Windows phone ready. Nokia is getting it’s lost charm, at some good pace. Still, selling phones to the US market will be an interesting challenge.

Nokia N9 Glossy White | Nokia Kinetic – Nano material, Flexible display :  Commitment and Innovation !

This is a project at Nokia RND labs where devices work on great physics! Bend, twist, interact. Dust free. Communicate, interact in a different way. This is just a concept device, but well, in near future we would be seeing devices from Nokia that would apply some of these awesome piece of technology.

Finally, cheers Nokia! Proud moment for us Nokians. Good luck. What a come back. Wow!
