Firstly PureView technology is Nokia developed algorithm which takes the imaging capabilities to extremes by bringing satellite imaging to mobile phones. It is sure an important milestone for Nokia.

Nokia uses a concept called as ‘Pixel oversampling’ for their cameras, the technology used in satellite imaging . At a standard resolution of 5-8MP, the smartphone is able to zoom without loss of clarity and capture seven pixels of information, condensing into one pixel. This results in the sharpest possible images.

Nokia had earlier announced plans of bringing the PureView technology to their future Lumia lineup. You can experience the phenomena in recently announced Belle Phone, the Nokia 808 Pureview.

In a recent interview Mr. Weber, President Nokia US talks about how they essentially would transfer the technology into future Windows Phone PureView Lumia. “As we know this is a feature now integrated into the Nokia 808 PureView based on Symbian Belle operating system and that took five years to reach culmination”, he quotes.

He also adds that, special relations of cooperation between Nokia and Microsoft, will allow them to customize the software of the camera.

He also hints at what is expected from future Windows Phone from Nokia: dual-core processors, Windows Phone 8, PureView technology are just some of the possible innovations that could be introduced in the future production of the Nokia with the Microsoft made operating system.
