Nokia has announced that its Nokia Reading ebook reader app, will finally be available on Nokia Lumia devices, designed for the Windows Phone platform and the ClearBlack display.

The Nokia Reading app is basically e-book, audiobook reader. This application was showcased at MWC 2012 on a Lumia 900, lucky, I had a glimpse of it. I was really impressed with the kind of reading experience I was presented with. To add to the excitement, Nokia has already partnered with publishers like Hachette, Pearson, and Penguin for exclusive e-book and audio book content for their Windows Phone devices. Users will be able to read sample pages before they buy the book, and will also be easily able to find top books in local languages.

Thousands of free classical literature ebooks will also be available. A night mode is also present, turning white pages black, and text white, apart from resizable type. All that you need to make that reading experience extra special. Also, it features something called as the “News Stream”, which is said to offer a similar or better interface than ‘flipboard’ app that is available for iOS.

Nokia Reading will roll out on a country-by-country basis from this week on the Nokia Lumia 900800710, and 610. The initial launch countries are France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain and the UK. Others will follow over the rest of the year.

The app should be available anytime this week at Windows Phone Marketplace.
