Nokia pushes it’s long due ‘Belle’ OS update to existing Symbian^3/Anna devices!
Nokia has finally rolled out Nokia ‘Belle’ OS update to Symbian^3 devices.
Nokia Belle provides users of Symbian smartphones more opportunities for personalization and lets you totally customize your smartphone the way you want it! Features include – six pages , numerous shortcuts for apps(can be customized), resizeable homescreen widgets, drop down notification bar and the display of connectivity options in each menu view. The update also allows video recording with a mobile phone camera in HD – quality at 30 frames per second and includes a revised Web browser and a new Nokia Maps version. The detailed changes shows the following picture:
In addition, owners of Nokia smartphones with Symbian OS or update and Belle will also be able to use in future applications such as Microsoft OneNote on their Lync or Symbian smartphone. Nokia plans to announce shortly further information. On the other hand, a number of apps, which are available for Symbian, still not compatible with the new operating system version, including the Nokia Maps application SR8, public transport, situational and day writer.
The provision of the new operating system version is initially in selected countries, including Germany. Nokia initially supplies from the Belle-update for the Nokia OS smartphones N8, E7, E6, X7, C6-01, C7, and Oro. For the Nokia 500 Nokia Belle is only in the coming weeks, available for download. For deploying the new OS version must be users of the Nokia smartphone devices via its USB cable to the PC , connect the desktop software open Nokia Suite 3.3 and click the update icon in the application for synchronization.
I would encourage every Symbian^3/Anna smartphone user to update to Belle. It’s a different OS story.
If this doesn’t excite you, I don’t know what will.
