Nokia despite shifting towards Windows Phone 7 also earlier had promised that, they will ship a MeeGo device this year. It was said to be the successor of the powerhouse N900. Yes, I am talking about the N950.

Earlier this year at Nokia’s Developer Day, Nokia’s CTO Rich Green had given an extensive talk about the future of current Nokia platforms, if you remember he also mention about MeeGo’s whereabout. He had told that they were working hard on the N950 and had come up with some “very elegant” hardware and interesting UI.

Anyway, here’s a video of the talk. It starts off with N950:

Mr.Green had assured the attending developers that it was the device for developers to work on. So, the Nokia N950 is aimed more towards devs than the mass market user?

Also, earlier this day Arguelles, a media company had tweeted that that began filming an ad which will star the Nokia N950. Additionally, they wrote that it will be a 4G touch screen smartphone that will release this summer!

And finally the device passing FCC. So it’s quite obivious that this device is the true successor of the N900, and it must run MeeGo.!
