Three months await. Nokia has finally launched its flagship Windows 8 device, the Lumia 920 and the mid ranged Lumia 820 here in India.

The Lumia 920 is priced at Rs. 38, 199 and Lumia 820 comes with a tag of Rs. 27,559. Debatable pricing, we must say.

Also, Lumia 620 will be released early February.

However, Nokia India vice-president and managing director, P. Balaji, said that with Windows 8, their thrust would be on imaging, entertainment and location services, in addition to stylish accessories.

“It’s the most innovative smartphone in the world. Our competitors, such as HTC and Samsung, are not even closer to Lumia 920. Its camera is better than (that of) iPhone,” said Nokia India smart devices head Vipul Mehrotra.

PureView is back, on a Windows Phone this time, like you all wished!  “With an 8.7MP camera, Nokia Lumia offers best low-light performance, in real life. Plus a super sensitive touch display and HD+ display with Nokia PureMotion technology.

The new devices have integrated wireless charging capabilities. They can be wirelessly charged, without plugging in, by just putting them on a plate or specially designed Fat Boy pillow.

Nokia has tied up with Airtel for Lumia 920 and has a bundled 2GB data plan free for three months. Vodafone offers Lumia 820 with a 2GB data plan with three months free offer.
