Design by Community a great concept that was started by the efforts of folks of Nokia Conversation Blog.

They had a simple plan ie. Gather collective thoughts from people around the globe to create an ultimate concept device. And where does these inputs go? Yes, A team of Super-Talented Nokia designers team were given those inputs that Nokia folks collected for weeks and these cool designers were told to create concept sketches based on spec’s and other criteria.

And these designers came up with the sketches and three supah cool designs were being featured at Nokia Conv blog and a poll was run there. A total of 18,000 votes were cast to decide which of the three concepts should be turned into a final render.  Hence was the “Nokia U” (concept device) was selected based on votes it got.
