Asha OS powered – Asha 305 & Asha 311 launched in India
Nokia has launched two new Asha series phones in India. Named as Asha 305 and Asha 311, the phones are priced at Rs 5,029 and Rs 7,139 respectively. These devices run on a completely new OS, they call it – Asha OS.
Nokia Asha 311 is powered by a 1GHz processor, has a 3-inch scratch resistant capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 400×240 pixels. Weighing 95g, the phone has an internal memory of 256MB (approximately 100MB free user memory), which is expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card. Sports a 3.2 MP camera without flash. 1110 mAh battery to power it all, which Nokia claims, would offer 14 hours of talktime on 2G network and 6 hours on 3G network.
The Asha 311 comes with pre-loaded social client for accessing Facebook, Twitter and many other social networks. It also has the most popular messaging service “WhatsApp”. Comes pre-installed Nokia Maps, in addition to the 15 level pre-bundled versions of Angry Birds.
The next one is a dual-SIM device, Nokia Asha 305 which is prced at Rs 5,029, the phone has a 3-inch resistive touch screen. The Nokia Asha 305 has an internal memory of 10MB, expandable with microSD card up to 32 GB. Weighing 98.3g, the phone has a 2 megapixel camera. It’s also comes bundled with all other needed features.
The Nokia Asha 311 will be available starting August 12 across the country, while the Nokia Asha 305 is already available in the market. No word on Asha 306 though.
