2017 Audi A4

The Audi A4 is a very important car to Audi. Around 20 years
ago, the model almost single-handedly saved the company’s
American branch which for years had been facing a case
concerning its cars faulty transmission system which rendered
the cars to sudden acceleration.

Through PR campaigns, the automaker used the A4 to entice back
buyers and the model rose up to be not only their savior but
established itself in the American luxury cars landscape.
However, of late, the model’s fortunes have dwindled amid an
onslaught by the established BMW 3
Series, Mercedes Benz C-Class and the upcoming Cadillac
ATS and Lexus IS.

The new model is set to change that and make the A4 the car to
beat in this segment; whether the vehicle will achieve this
objective remains to be seen considering the extent of the
competitors excellent offerings. Read along to find out more on

2017 Audi A4 Exterior

The 2017 Audi A4 sedan is based on the MLB Evo architecture
which is somewhat odd for a sedan and SUV to share the same
platform. The vehicle stretches 186.1 inches long, 72 inches
wide and has a height of 56.2 inches. These dimensions
translate to a 0.9-inch additional rear legroom as well as
additional front headroom and shoulder room. The vehicle use of
lightweight materials has led to a weight reduction of between
70 and 100 pounds.

At the front, the A4 features the signature single frame grille
which has an aluminum-optic surround. The grille is flanked by
xenon plus headlights (LED headlights are optional) and LED
DRLs. The vehicle also features a clam-shell hood which seems
to flow seamlessly into the vehicle’s shoulder lines giving the
car a dynamic stance. At the rear, the vehicle features dynamic
LED taillights and dynamic turn signals. On the sides, it
features heated and power-adjustable side mirrors.

The vehicle rides on 17-inch, 5-spoke wheels covered in
all-season tires. 5-spoke 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-season
tires and Audi Sport 10-V spoke 19-inch wheels wrapped in
summer tires are offered as options.

2017 Audi A4 Interior

Many Audi enthusiasts have complained about the vehicle’s tight
rear space. Audi has responded to this by improving the
vehicle’s rear legroom as well as offering better headroom at
the front.

The most eye-catching feature in its cabin is the new 12.3-inch
customizable instruments panel which displays a large
navigation screen surrounded by analogue gauges. The big screen
is meant to keep the driver focused on the road. This
instruments panel design has been adopted form the TT and it’s
is also featured on the 2017 Q7.

the cabin-noise level to a minimum level. The cabin is
illuminated by LED lighting which highlights the luxurious
quality. It also features a 3-spoke multifunction steering
wheel; 8-way power adjusted front seats with a 4-way power
lumbar support for the driver, a tilt and sliding power sunroof
and a 3-zone automatic climate control. The rear seats have a
40/20/40 split folding functionality. The seats also feature
